43 years ago her water broke.
The town was smaller, the drive short.
The Doctor's Office was on Main Street - No hospital needed for this one.
They were excited, Mother was ready- maybe a girl?
The grandparents lived 15 minutes North- they came quickly. Someone had to watch the first born, the boy.
I think both sets of grandparents were there- I'll have to ask.
I think someone passed out.
I think the Father was not in the room- maybe it was him?
After a short time, pushing and pushing, the delivery came.
The Father was anxious to see if the baby had webbed toes.
The Mother was happy to have a Daughter.
The Celebration began.
Happy Birthday to Me.
And Happy Birthday to Spiderman and Capt. Kangaroo too.
