Good Medicine

We met at 5pm today. Skipped the Varsity Volleyball for a unique experience - 3rd annual Powder Puff Football at the High School.

Our friend was even there! Her daugher was on the Freshman team and her Senior is a photographer.

Lots of friends crowded around her - hugs, cookies & brownies from the snack bar and girls playing football!

It was a good time! The highlite of the game, besides the Freshman/Senior team beating the Junior/Sophomore by 14, was the half time event.

Four Sophomore BOYS dressed in their best skirts, tank tops, tights, and hair ribbons doing a choreographed routine on the field! Those boys can dance!

What a hoot! Everyone laughed- everyone enjoyed watching the boys- and eating brownies.

Our friend was happy, she was cheering for her daughter and talking with everyone- it was an encouraging sign that she's really trying to make the best of an awful situation and she's doing the best thing for herself and her kids - getting out of the house, getting back to life's activities, not forgetting, but trying to be around friends and having a good laugh.

It is the best medicine sometimes.
